Three Fogged in Rats

Ratty Plans

through rain and fog
the cat did slink to
face three rats that crawl,
sent by a wicked witch
to scare us all.

the cat hopes her red
devil’s cloak will scare
that ratty tailed three
with their nasty gnashing
teeth laid bare.

spotting the cat
those rats turned tail
scurrying off with a
lingering wail, scurrying
through pelting rain, fog,
and good sized hail

tune in tomorrow, the
black cat knows it's
only fair to softly creep
and confront them quietly
where they sleep

For the Record
This day came in sunny and cool. Inspection sticker and service for our Outback and playing with cats filled my day.
