Whyte Avenue Art Walk

So we went down to Old Strathcona and took in the Whyte Avenue Art Walk. It is an event that takes place over a few days that allows artists to set up and display pieces of their work. It covers a very large area and It was a wonderful day to just be out for a walk and enjoy a variety of different styles and to have a chance to talk to some of the artists that were there

Great street shot. I always stop to admire paintings or photography and often chat with the artists if they're friendly. Must take a lot of work to lug your art somewhere and sit all day hoping for sales. Even when I don't buy from them, at least they know their work is appreciated.

That's really great. The town I grew up in used to have something just like this- It was called Art on the Avenue. And I think they still have it. Nice shot!
