Blue bottle

Still carrying on my October rainbow till the end of the week, a blue bottle in a Bath shop window - picture more reflective of the day in extras. http://365project.org/boxplayer/extras/2012-11-02

Another welcome day off today, morning spent scurrying around in my nightie trying to get packed for the weekend away at the Grand Bal de Bath (French music and dance festival - its 20th anniversary). Just about managed to get out on time, but what with having to stop off at Sainsbury's for nibbles and the most horrendous traffic on the North Circular and then into Bath itself, we were running quite late. So we parked up in an expensive Bath car park and rushed to meet Sophie and Anna in Loch Fyne. Anna arrived laden down with shopping bags having shopped Bath empty of nice clothes and shoes.

A very nice dinner of oysters and bream - always reliable is Loch Fyne - before we headed back to the cars and then up to the house Anna had rented for the weekend south of the city. A very quick turnaround and we were out again to go to the session in the Royal Oak. Quietish to start but the pub soon filled up with musicians, dancers, watchers and locals. A very enjoyable evening if a bit difficult to join in most of it. The bands booked for the weekend, Vent de Galarne and Ti Jaz, also turned up and played and sang, much to the entertainment/bemusement of the pub staff and locals, but a great way to start the weekend. Ended rather late though, still in there at 1-ish I think, then back to the house for a few nibbles and a chat.
