Kenilworth Castle

A former medieval fortress turned into a spectacular Elizabethan Palace by Robert Dudley. Now in ruins but still a remarkable site with it's grand gatehouse, telling the story of Queen Elizabeth l, and with steps up the tower, giving views over the countryside.

We used to see this castle when they used to have the Royal Agricultural Show from 1963 to 2006 at Stoneleigh Park
A massive International show & it was very much looked forward to by us farmers. We used to stay away overnight which was a massive treat.
