Flat! by carole_sandford

Flat!

Forgot to post yesterday- this one was taken last week, it is also a good demonstration of why we struggle with landscapes. Unless we venture into the Wolds, there are no hills, rocks or water; just flat! Having said that I do like the solitary tree!
You do get big skies though and I like that. This is really lovely.

Yes Carole - I also like the solitary tree demonstrating its structure in its bare winter state .and making a statement in the otherwise "flat" land

I love this. It reminds me of West Texas except you wouldn’t have a tree in the scene. 😊

It's a nice composition with the tree. Conversely Lincolnshire is also know for great sunsets because of those large uncluttered skies!

Coming form Holland and lining in Florida, I get your feeling about being flat!!
It does show some nice stretch of landscapes tho. The lonely tree is captured beautifully.

Love the lone tree - yes, the landscape is flat, but you don't notice that because you're drawn to the tree. Great colors

Yeah - I know what you mean about landscape challenges. I am blessed to not only have lots of scenes like yours but to find a few small rivers, hills, and the mighty St. Lawrence River
This is lovely with that lone tree in the distance!

I have the same problem with landscapes here in East Anglia
