As most of you know, I love to collect things. I collect a variety of things ranging from dishes or various pieces of glassware, old wooden tables, various vintage items, and coins. This is a large cent piece that I recently acquired. The large cent piece was minted from 1793 to 1857. Since our week's theme is numbers, I thought this would be an appropriate photo to use for the theme. Does that make "cents" to you?
@sarasdadandmom In this condition, probably anywhere from $18 - $30, depending who is interested in it. I think it's just fascinating how well some of the old coins look after all those years.
I too collect coins. I shall take a pic and let you see some of them. I am ready to probably find a buyer as I dont travel as much as I use to, to find the coins I like. I like this photo
Fantastic detail and what a great take on the theme! My Father is a bartender and always would bring home interesting coins that he got paid with. I have a bag full of neat coins. I would love to learn more about coin collecting. I just typed that and realized what a geek I really am!
I even have a nickname for you, "the collector" , hahhahaha, Rick I don't what a I liked better, if the coin or the lines on your hand, the details are very good, well done. Thank you for the nice comments on my photos, as always you are too nice, and the top 20 is awesome, but when my friends like my photos, PRICELESS.
My husband has a metal detector so this makes great 'cents' to him ! He has boxes full of old coins such as this. When I showed him this picture he exclaimed...'oh, wow' ~ nice piece of history !
Very nice!! We have a coin collection too that belonged to my MIL. It was really the only thing my hubby wanted when she passed. We still haven't really gone through it yet to see if there is anything of value in there.
