Post your favorite photo of your own project from this week to share with those that may not otherwise see it.Lets also put WHY or WHAT about it you like.
There were some really great photographs last week. It is fun to see what you like of your posts as it is not always what everyone else chooses.
There are two easy ways to add pictures on to the discussion.
The first is a full size photo: 1) Click on your favorite photo and bring up its page. 2)Look at the right side of your monitor, and go to the word SHARE (it is below tags) 3) go to the box and copy the long address 4) Come back to the discussion, and then paste.
The second is to have a smaller file size so to keep the site from getting overwhelmed. http://365project.org/discuss/general/1323/how-to-adding-an-image-in-a-discussion.
i saw the boat as we embarked from the ferry and i went straight for it. i stood beside it listening to the unusually calm waters of lake ontario and looking at the beautiful skyline obscured by a little haze, remnant of the fogs earlier. it just calmed my senses, having just taking a lunch break from the chaotic world of a lawfirm. as it was, i missed the ferry going back and didn't make it to the office until late in the afternoon.
It was my first time closely observing flight training. I've watched the Bald Eagles fly in programs and at Busch Stadium but this was the first time I could really watch and learn about the process - what it takes to work with a bird of this size. A couple of days ofter I got this shot, I got my chance and flew Lewis (the bird that most frequently flies for the St. Louis Cardinals). It was thrilling. This shot of Buford and head trainer Roger was just a lucky moment of timing!
This is my son, we were out playing in the leaves. My intention was to capture him playing with the leaves throwing them etc, but this made me smile so much I thought I would post this instead. I was half tempted to just leave it there :-)
This is the first digital photograph that I ever won an award for and the first digital image that I applied extensive post processing to. It is also one of my favorite images I have ever taken:
@jannkc --- I just wanted to say thanks for adding the why to these threads. I don't know if you started it but it makes us think about why and gives a personal feel to the whole thread. Much better than just posting and walking away.
Probably this one...
It is part of one of my favourite views across Worcestershire looking from the Lickey Hills, south towards the Malvern Hills. I have taken many photos of it with varying degrees of success and this is one of my better ones. The mist has settled nicely into the valleys, the radio masts and water tower are sharp, and the birds just seem to add something that some of the other shots lacked.
I was traveling in Asia for three weeks and it seems like I just got home. When I looked at my pictures for the 17th-23rd I see I have been home for a full week. Where does the time go? My picture from the 19th got more views/comments than most I post the 20th was my favorite. Pike Place Market is full of interesting photo opportunities. It is one of my go to places if I don't have a picture idea. This girl caught my eye on the 20th.
These are two of my favourite girls. Everything came together perfectly at this exact moment and I am so happy I caught it. One of my favourite pics I have ever taken.
This photo is a complete departure from the usual bees, butterflies and bokeh that seem to always crop up in my shots and as I had no idea what I was doing, I was quite pleased with the result!
I have been playing with taking photos of the impact of the Autumn sunlight. I happened across a milkweed pod just in time to capture the light from the sun as it sank low on the horizon. I like the light play across the milkweed seeds.
I like this one because it was a lovely day, the birds were singing and it was so peaceful. There is a sign pointing to the Finger Lakes and the sign says sanctuary. I have met buddhists going there and I can understand why
GROWING PAINS
This is my son, another hard day. But as I looked down I couldnt help but see he was sorry. And so was I. Even though Im the Mom I still have to grow too.
Well mine would have to be the one I took for 23rd Nov..
Because it's so bright and colourful, and I've never really got anything good from a water droplet photo before!
I like this one because, a. I managed to work out the buses to get there b. I just love this sculpture and c. it might be the last day warm enough to sit out in for a loooooong time!
Liked this the best because I took 200 great action and motion shots during this game, but it's the REaction and the Emotion that really tell the story
@dmortega Thank you. I agree, I liked seeing the photos but was always curious why it became the favorite. Glad you like it and glad people are adding the info.
This one, since I think I finally cracked the code on perspective correction and foreshortening, that I read today is correctly called "keystoning." Only cold architecture I know, but I learned a heck of a lot in the last week.
@frankhymus Thank you :) I quite like how it turned out as well, I'm lucky because they don't seem to mind being put in a mini, make-shift studio in front of the camera! They are little exhibitionists really... Especially the little white one :)
I like this one - not so much for the image quality (I certainly didn't do the ring justice), but because my daughter got engaged this week to a fantastic guy. I'm so happy for her!
This is my favorite because my mom, dad and sister came to visit for Thanksgiving. We live in different corners of the world, but get to see each other a few times each year.
this one because what started as a potential disaster led to a photograph I'd dreamed of getting someday and the fates smiled on me that day. I just wish 365 hadn't toned down the depth by toning down the blacks in the photo
This one. It's badly flawed by camera noise, but the composition is something I've been looking for, though I never expected to find it in a multi storey car park. And I got that just as I wanted it.
I like this one best because, if you know Larry, you know this picture is a miracle. ;) He is VERY energetic and never sits still enough... Not when I have my camera out anyhow.
I took this photo thanksgiving morning. It wasn't my first choice that day as there is a house I've been wanting to take a picture of forever. Yet I'm happy that didn't work out now. :)
This was a photo that I've been meaning to get for awhile. I just hadn't figured out how to get it and live to tell about it. I finally just did it and was mostly safe.
my fave of mine last week was this one, and if you click on the photo, you'll be able to read my fairly lengthy story as to why I love this photo so much.
This is one of those moments of beauty that is so easy to overlook in a busy life. It is simply the sun shining through onto the table while I was making a fresh batch of sun tea. I like that I was able to notice it in the first place, and then had the ability to capture the moment.
This is one of my favourite pictures of my whole project - so I was a little saddened to find that it received so few comments :( . I was doing some photography for a web site selling glitzy dancewear bra straps and my daughter and her boyfriend were home for the weekend so I seized the opportunity to use them. I think the lighting is fab and there expressions just right. Sorry to beef my own work up - something I very rarely do but I just like it a lot !
@stoat Hi Debbie, just seen your favourite shot and I would also have been thrilled to have made one like this. Some of my own favourites have have very few comments. I guess it often depends on the time you post them.
This is one of my little ones that come to visit daily. It's been so fun watching her grow. Such a sweet face. Nothing special about the picture but her.
Here's my favourite shot from this week... and I like it best because I was dealing with rather tricky light... and really liked the result I still managed to get!
@julieco thank you Julie, yes it's funny how it goes isn't it. You have some lovely pictures - I love the Whitby ones - a beautiful place that we have been lucky enough to visit in the past
I really love how the light turned out in this one. Also, focus was tricky because I was using my extension tubes, and this was about the size of my pinky nail.
I like this one because I saw the web on a BBQ that was hiding behind some other stuff, dragged it out into the sun, sprayed it with a water bottle and finally took the shot. It took some effort :)
My favorite for this week is (btw, it is best viewed large or magnified):
It's my favorite because a car alarm caused me to go out at just the right moment. I almost missed it! I just love the jet stream that looks like it's headed for the moon. I should have called it Shuttle Launch or something but I stand by the title I committed with.
Because I was fortunate enough to get picked....twice. In this shot I like the fact it captures a big event in my community and in addition the drivers smile is just great...expressing having fun participating in the event.
This provided a much needed splash of colour in my life
I just love squirrels :P
A childhood fantasy becomes a surprise event only once in my life.

The mist has settled nicely into the valleys, the radio masts and water tower are sharp, and the birds just seem to add something that some of the other shots lacked.
I love how this turned out so subtle and soft :)
I was so excited when I found this old car, the lines and rust made my day!
My favourite is this one, I dont do many balck and white and I liked the close crop
Because I tried this for the first time and had so much fun with it.
Because I think they are adorable :)

It's been a satisfying full week for me, but this one came out closest to what I intended.
I like this one - not so much for the image quality (I certainly didn't do the ring justice), but because my daughter got engaged this week to a fantastic guy. I'm so happy for her!
My favorite one would have to be this one because he is so stinkin' cute!
It just feels extremely wintery! :)
I took this photo thanksgiving morning. It wasn't my first choice that day as there is a house I've been wanting to take a picture of forever. Yet I'm happy that didn't work out now. :)
For me this one, been wanting to do this kind of shot and finally done it and would like to do more sometime soon.
I like this one because of the perspective and the focus.
This is my first family session.. well first session lol. I am happy that this pose turned out. :)
I've wanted to get better at portraits and I guess I fell in love with this one.
I like this one becasue I think it is kind of simple but I also love the angle of it and how much of the tree you can see.
i love the light against the drops of water.
This is one of my little ones that come to visit daily. It's been so fun watching her grow. Such a sweet face. Nothing special about the picture but her.
It's not as up close as I usually like, but I still like the wintery feel of the photo :)
Think this is the first photo I have been really happy with so far in my 365 mission.
enjoyed trying some photoshop techniques for this and was pleased with the result.
I like this one because I saw the web on a BBQ that was hiding behind some other stuff, dragged it out into the sun, sprayed it with a water bottle and finally took the shot. It took some effort :)
I love the bright colours :)
I know this probably isn't the right page, your help is greatly appreciated :-)
