This is a B&W thread - for B&W photography where B&W is the main mode. Selective coloring is OK, Sepia is OK, but the images in this thread should mainly be monotone.
What's your favorite B&W photo from this past week? Share with us what you took this week. Please post only one B&W photo you took. Didn't take a B&W this week? That's OK. Post a B&W from someone else's project that you really fell in love with this week.
Find the B&W you want to share and then copy and paste the code into a reply. You'll find the code below the Facebook and Twitter buttons on the right hand column of that photo.
I didn't post any B&W images this week, so I'm posting one from Harry Benson @hjbenson because I really liked the symmetry of the shot.
This is mine. I was challenged by a fellow 365'r to take at least one B&W a week as it was not something I normally do. I have to say I really enjoyed it.
I did more in b&w this last week of my project than normal, partly because I felt that it was a missing element in my capability to "see" the beauty in black and white (in my OWN shots!), so I was please with this one:
This one. Taken during our trip to Seattle this past weekend. I think this second year's 365 will have more people shots in it as I'm trying to get over that uncomfortable feeling I get when shooting people.
I didnt have a B&W so here is one of my Favs from this week. I stared at this for hours and just smiled and laughed and wanted to pet this fella :) Amazing capture my dear! @herecirm
Okay, I'm not sure if this is breaking the rules, as I've posted it for the 11th, it was taken in the small hours of the morning, which was officially the 12th! It's my favourite anyway!
Only colorful shots in my project this week, but i really love this shot of northy @northy. It is a normal alley, but the processing gives it something really special!
I don't do a lot of black and white, but I just bought a cheap Groupon for an online course so I have a feeling I'll be doing more! Here's one from this week.
I don't normally do B&W but my get pushed challenge this week was for B&W, so my last 3 pictures are just that. Even though i love that I've finally managed to do macro of snowflakes I just love this shot of my nephew which was my first B&W.
this is what i feel when i don't have photo to post here..
While not the best shot technically, I love it because of how excited and happy he is in it :)
tried this for the leading line challenge
I wanted to do something with shape and contrast so here is that attempt.
Taken in large format, 4x5 on Fomopan and developed at home
@jase_h
I took this at an abandoned house where the house is no longer there. lol
Not the best photo I know but the expression makes me chuckle
Not from this week, but posted this week, as I had no internet for weeks, so I hope it passes ;)
@cfrantz One of my favourite photographers here.
Here's mine. It was my first attempt at a low key shot.
