Awanui flowering cherry by dkbarnett

Awanui flowering cherry

The Awanui flowering cherry is just coming out and looking like a pink cloud. Is is rather typical that we get the equinox winds at this time of the year and the flowers don't seem to last very long. The car just peaking out from under the ivy is an old Austin Cambridge. I am currently in transit and heading to Namibia so I might not have time to look at many photos.
Is one of your dogs a Skye Terrier? Know the other one. Hard to imagine this scene in Namibia! It is very beautiful with that flowering cherry, just like ours!

Wonderful colours in this gorgeous garden scene. The ivy has really taken over the old car. Enjoy your time in Namibia.

Love the car peaking through. Look forward to photos from Namibia. My daughter was there in 2009 and loved it.

Such a beautiful color, and I like how you've given it such a prominent spot in the photo.

@maggiemae Alfie is a yorkshire terrier - a bit smaller than the skye terrier I think. Yes it certainly is very dry here in Namibia - a completely different scene!
