Rockingham Pier

We had a lovely long lunch with a step brother and his wife at Rockingham, just beside the pier. It was windy and rough. Little did I realise that the next morning at 6:00 AM in the dark I would be jumping from this pier for a winter dip. Nor did I realise the water here would be so cold - just as cold as ours.

What a shame that I didn't know you were in the area. We were actually home between trips. There's no way I'd be swimming in Rockingham in July.

@merrelyn There is a facebook group called Rockingham Penguins I think and the friend we were staying with used to go each morning to this pier to do a 10 minute dip with this group. They would then go for coffee at a nearby cafe. When we stayed with them I persuaded him to go back and joined him. Doing the cold dips gets quite addictive :-)

I know of the group. A friend of our sons is a member. I don't do cold water so it's not for me 🥶
