Operation Tidy-Up commenced this morning! It’s been a long time since we’ve had an overnight visitor - probably not since 2019. I vacuumed, dusted and put on the clean bedding (not washed since I took it out of the packet about 5 months ago). In the afternoon we went to Lidl to stock up on supplies. I decided we’d try some interesting brie and cranberry posh tarts that have been in the freezer probably since 2019 as well.
In the evening Colin has a pre-booked game of golf with Chris taking advantage of the long evenings. Hester arrived earlier that she thought before 7.00pm. It was brilliant to catch up in person and she is looking very good. I had promised Colin that we would continue with dinner and he could have his later but in the event we were talking so much that when he called at nearly 9.00pm to say he was on his way back, I had not even started cooking, This is our second or third cup of tea outside in the garden!
