4th August 2021

1 year, 131 days since the start of the 1st lock down in March 2020

I felt much recovered this morning after a proper nights sleep without a 4.50am alarm! In the morning 2,000 envelops and cellos arrives in 4 large boxes and I wrote some emails and got a reply to the one I’d written to the Royal Mid Surrey golf course from the owner fo the building! His son lives there but he had no problems with letting me photograph it and passed me his son’s phone number so I can contact him to discuss timings and arrangements.

In the afternoon I had planned a while ago to go to Richmond to start taking the images for my next montage. I have spent a long time planning what, where and when. I decided to take the bus in as I was going to be a while and the parking is so expensive. There were not many people on the bus and this that were mostly were wearing face masks. It was very hot and O walked well over 12,000 footsteps up and down Richmond Hill, around the Terrace Gardens and through the town. A few places had to be visited again later in the afternoon for better light and I could ascertain the other morning shots.

I was getting rather dehydrated so I stopped in the Wholefood shop for a cold drink and freshly baked Pretzl. Whilst I was eating this I noticed the light improved considerably on the old fire station so I nipped out and photographed ti again.

By the end of a few hours of photography I had got 13 images in the bag including a few I spotted on the day.

I picked an entire colander of blackberries on my return - a very constructive day.
