3rd September

1 year, 159 days since the start of the 1st lock down in March 2020

Sydney has been fading for the past few weeks and normally hamsters just pass away in their sleep but unfortunately this has not been the case with Sydney. We have been discussing this together and both agreed today that his quality of life is now low as he cannot easily walk, cannot drink from his bottle and barely moves from his sleeping spot. I called the vet but she cannot book him in until tomorrow afternoon so there is another day in which he has a chance to drift away…

I was fuming to find later in the morning that out of three photo frames I had ordered from my usual company, two had been smashed to smithereens. This happened back in November when all six frames I ordered had been smashed and had to be replaced. This time I was more stroppy and demanded that the broken frames were collected as last time we had to keep the broken frames in the garage for months until we were able to take them to the municipal tip.

After this discovery, I cracked on and made up the cards to deliver to Richmond and delivered the cards I made up yesterday to Teddington - my first invoiced delivery since December last year.

Colin was at golf this morning but on his return we went straight to Lidl to stock up on supplies for a dinner party we are having tomorrow.
