15th September 2021

1 year, 171 days since the start of the 1st lock down in March 2020

Our first proper day of our holiday. I did not feel so bad as yesterday and took It carefully getting up to get used to being upright.

We enjoyed breakfast and I enjoyed turning on the dishwasher, not having one at home! There were some clouds but we were expecting that but there was no rain at all. In the middle of the day we popped back to the house which is pretty easy as everything in Marvão is only about a five minute walk away. Finishing the rest of the prawns we relaxed for a bit before heading out for a later afternoon walk. The light was amazing. There were visible rain storms in the distance and stunning partial rainbows either side of the storm which made for some great photos after we had clambered up onto the city walls for a better view.

We nipped back to get changed and then onto one of only about two restaurants in the entire town that are actually open. We were about the only customers on our arrival but by the time we left a few other tables were occupied. The food and wine was good although there was not a huge menu. It was good to finally be eating out in a foreign restaurant after months at home.
Beautiful shot
