9th December 2021

1 year, 250 days since the start of the 1st lock down in March 2020

The day before Colin’s golf game and therefore it is mince pie day! Over the years a tradition has arisen where I make mince pies with an added teaspoon of brandy that Colin and his ‘play mates’ eat pre match. He then had lunch locally - usually at Brouge and I then collect him afterwards and distribute fellow golfers back to their homes!

In the evening I headed to photo club for the last meeting before my Christmas social next Thursday. I was on lock-up duty this evening and was last out with friends Deborah and Peter. We were just switching off the last lights having checked all the rooms on the way down when we heard somewhat walking very quickly down the stairs. I felt so bad as I was sure I had checked all the toilets and rooms for people. I got ready to give a profuse apology as the footsteps approached, just another flight of stairs until we saw who it was. Except no-one appeared. The footsteps kept going but nobody was there.

I am not particularly spectrally minded but we all heard the footsteps and we all agreed it was not explainable. Needless to say I did not let Peter or Deborah leave until I had finally locked up - spooky!
