Back to earth with a bump. Three lots of washing which are now hung around the house in an attempt to dry in with low heating and not using the tumble dryer. I also had to take all the decorations down soon the house is cold and bare as well. The tree was in such good condition that it hardly dropped any needles as I took it outside. It rained hard all day but I had to go out later in the day to collect Pingado from his holiday home so now out house feels back to normal.
Later in the evening I bit the bullet and went ahead to book the four flights for Mum’s surprise trip to Florence. The outbound are 8.15am which is a bit rubbish as we will have to get a taxi at about 5.30am - yuk - but there were no other flight options and they are very well priced at about £120 each return with cases!
