The day has come and sadly I am setting off on my mammoth journey back ‘up country’ to go home. Mum made me some sandwiches and a picnic and I still had some supplies that I had not eaten on my way down. I got a lift to the station and sadly waved goodbye.
The plus side of this journey back was that initially I had the forward facing by the window with power socket seat (as requested) all to my self until Redruth when a chap sat opposite me so much more space than on my way day. Todays photo is the Tamar bridge which we speeded across - great views from that height. I did not feel great as I seem to have caught the cold but I did manage to get some more work done on my way back and caught the connecting train at Reading with no problem.
I fell asleep and had to be woken by the ticket inspector which was a bit embarrassing! Finally back in Twickenham and Colin was parked up in a road nearby to give me a lift home and I presented him with the Cornish chocolate I have bought yesterday.
BIG NEWS - as I did not feel great, as a precaution (not thinking much about it) I thought I’d do a Covid test. I HAVE COVID - ARGHHH. Action stations - I started wearing a mask immediately, I’m on my own in the top bedroom and we will eat meals separately. I cannot believe that after three years of avoiding Covid I now have it… caught from Mum!! I texted them and they have also both tested positive - not a big surprise.
