Hooray, I am allowed out and so we managed to get to Chris’s birthday meal.
It was pretty busy as unfortunately it was also Mothers Day (Pingado hamster gave me some very nice chocolates!). There are major roadworks in Richmond so the others were late but we eventually were al sitting down.
I thought the food was good as I had thought, the service was not very good with long waits in between courses. We have waited before at other places but a certain person insisted on moaning about the delay, mainly because we had chosen NOT to go to his suggested very expensive places up in town. It was rather stressful and I am still feeling pretty shattered as the after effects of Covid.
I managed to bring out the cake (as previously agreed with the restaurant) and in the even everyone dining sang Happy Birthday as well. I even cut it into slices and face everyone a piece who was not coming home with us.
Chris and Monika came back so that Colin could present the main present of a state of the art drone which Chris seems very impressed with.
