It’s the first of three bank holidays this month and needless to say, based on past years attempts to get out anywhere, we stayed in! This was not such a bad thing as there was a torrential storm in the afternoon.
Later in the day we did want a breath of fresh air and so headed out the opposite way to Bushy Park and walked down to the Lock. For only the second time in three years we walked onto Lock island and watched a boat coming through and had a chat with the Lock Keeper, The trees are coming out nicely and it feels really springlike.
