It was a bit of a rush round this morning. I dropped Colin off at golf early on so that I could have the car for the rest of the day. Then it was straight back home and I knocked up a Spaghetti Bolognese (but no peppers or chilli) before 9.00am!
Then I sorted out the bedroom and had a quick tidy around. I kept an eye on my plane tracker as I was due to collect Mum and Ian from Gatwick at lunch time. As it is further than Heathrow and there are no handy parking places nearby, I decided to make it easy for myself and chose the short stay car park - straight to the top floor in the open air where normally you can be guaranteed to find a space - which I could.
I had been organised and picked up mini flapjacks, bananas and bottles of water as snacks for Mum and Ian and a sandwich for myself which I ate in the car park. As the flight was a little delayed I even had time to get a latte from Costa coffee located close to the arrivals gate which was considerably better than yesterdays coffee from Waitrose!
Mum and Ian arrived through the gates although this photo is of an amazing pink case just in front of them! They seem to have had a very good time but also very full on with incredibly early starts each day - not a holiday for us I think.
