30 Shots - Day 14

Best View On The Farm
The dogs love looking out over the back fields from the high vantage point of the driveshed.
I know that one of the first composition rules is to have more space in front of your main subject than behind, but I have never met a rule that was not meant to be broken.
I like the way the beams fade behind Prince. I also used a soft focus on this shot which I do not usually do.
Warning- massive upload. You do not need to comment on every picture!
love the soft focus, the light and the line of the beams
I rarely follow the rules haha - probably because I don't know most of them

You were right to break that "rule"!

It makes you wonder more what he's looking at! Which means you're thinking about more than what is immediately visible (which is something else you're "supposed" to do). :D

The rule of thirds probably applies to this photo with your dog being in the intersection of the left & center upper and middle sections.
