The baby jays are keeping Mom and Dad busy as they are learning to fly. This little guy found a safe place to land in our big workshop.
It is a perfect place for him and parents with little wind, protection from predators and lots of convenient and safe landing spots.
Fun to see. I know the birds have mated and probably have nests in the trees in the surrounding yards, but the only babies I've really seen are finches and perhpas a mockingbird this morning.
