I had expected to see more leaves scattered on the ground when I walked through the Homestead Park yesterday, especially after the strong wind and heavy rain of the last few days, but that wasn't the case. Still there were a few patches of scattered leaves, so here is one of those areas.
Lots of twings, branches, leaves and sadly a beautiful Ivy full of flowers and a safe haven for insects and birds has fallen here in Fulford. Glad it's calmed down!
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
I must say I'm pleased that the storm didn't strip too many leaves or branches off the trees in this area. I do like to see the gradual evolution of the colours on the trees as autumn progresses. However, many other areas of the UK were not so lucky, and trees houses and transport links were damaged, and several lives were lost. My sympathies to all those severely affected by the storms.
