Like a moth to a flame
we become helpless
the beautiful ghosts
that true love sheds.

This darling little girl fell in love with Sophie Belle. Her name is Jada and she is five years old. I went to a baseball game to watch my youngest grand boy play, but did not get to see much of it due to Jada’s enthusiasm towards Sophie. Jada asked me to take her photo with Sophie.
Jada’s brother, who is seven years old, plays on the same baseball team. I asked her why she wasn’t watching the game? She isn’t interested in baseball. Instead, she was fascinated by Sophie. Jada spent the next two hours unzipping Sophie’s stroller and zipping it back up. She found zippers I didn’t even know the stroller had! Jada also picked Sophie up and put her down and repeated this several times. She took Sophie for a walk and also pushed her in the stroller. I had to keep an eye on them, because I was concerned for Sophie‘s safety. Sophie was a trooper, gentle and kind, and never resisted.
Though Jada’s grandparents and father were present, they never took their eyes off the game. I don’t know what her mother would have thought about that.
Jada really enjoyed Sophie. She treated Sophie like her baby doll and was caring and sweet. However, Sophie is more fragile at the age of 16.
I hope I get the chance to watch the next baseball game as I need to take Sophie with me. Any suggestions?
Posting early as to another super busy weekend of activities. I will be going to the California Capitol Air Show today.
I was leaning the way of Tunis. She seems like an empathetic child. She can just help watch over Sophie without touching her. Very nice capture of the two of them.
Good suggestion…thank you for your help. 😃
