This is for Max; Max is obsessed with Spiderman at the moment & his dream would be to meet the real Spiderman.
I send him the comics over & the last one had a mask in it which he wears all the time.
We have been to see the film this afternoon. We do try to vary our films and I just thought of Max when I saw this young boy meeting the great man himself.
We didn't get half the story but it was certainly a change.
We had to laugh because it was really quiet when we got to the cinema, when we commented the young guy behind the counter said "Oh you missed all the rus, all the grey wrinkles were in to see the senior film - you missed them all". We were so glad to not to be thought part of that group just yet!
Three good things:
1. A wet afternoon on the back row with sandwiches .
2. A good 365 friend @maggienae who has put Henry in doggy heaven with her dearly departed dogs.
3. So many thanks for all the wonderful comments & commiserations on the death of our lovely Henry. If all the comments were cards they would be filling every window-sill. Thank you all.
That is such a sweet thought! I don't get it myself....anything to do with spiders on a screen or picture really spook me, though I can deal with the real things if I have to!!!
Good to be young!!!
One of my little guys in school would be a good buddy for Max!
Hahaa - I can just imagine you with sandwiches - last time I was in a packed cinema the young me next to me waited till half way through and then rustled a very noisy carrier bag to get a takeaway out. I wasn't impressed especially as they were sitting in our seats when we arrived and looked at me as if I was mad when I asked if we could sit in them (if you don't you generally end up sitting in somebody else's but actually he'd just moved along from his less good seats!)
Great shot Pat, and I am sure Max would love this.. I took 2 of the Grandies to see the Lego Movie the other day as well.. and I didn't get some of it.. But we did go and see 'Sunshine on Leith' and it was fantastic.. a must see.,.,.
@judithg same thing happened to us today Judith......we always go on the back row & when we got to our seats the two ladies where in one of our seats.......only four of us in the whole place at the time & the guy had sat us all together, we just moved further along.
Super shot. One of our grandsons got a superman out fit from his other Nanna about 4 years ago and he was terrified of him, but now he thinks Spiderman is wonderful and both he and his brother dress up all the time in the outfits.
Our nephew O got a spiderman outfit for christmas last year and loved it until he saw himself in the mirror in the mask and burst into horrified tears!
I've modified this for you to pass on to Max! Hope you don't mind, Pat! I wouldn't like to be called a grey wrinkly! Hope they were egg sandwiches in that movie seat! It would be like a picnic with entertainment!
