I was determined to find a snow picture for Alex before she went home. I wanted to put her in front of a snowy hill but we never got near enough unfortunitely & the snow was melting fast in the beautiful winter sunshine.
Freezing hard now & the roads are icy....we just got home before dark.
We had a late lunch at the Applestore Cafe above Scorton.....bacon & free range egg rolls, coffee & afterwards a cake each.
Three good things:
1. I saw on the news this morning how in Cumbria the Enviromental Agency are picking up unsold Christmas trees & lining the river banks with them. They stop bank erosion & are there to encourage nature....I thought it was a brilliant idea! Planting used trees on the beach at St Anne's too to help with sea defences...we might take ours!
2. A good walk after a hearty meal.
3. Heated seats in the car!
