I am ashamed to say I have done absolutely nothing today!
I got up to make a cup of tea put the electric blanket back on & finished reading my book in bed.
Had soup for lunch had great intentions of going for a walk but the wind howling & blowing & occasional showers soon put paid to that.
Here we are sitting by the fire going nowhere!
I took this little shop window in Ambleside las Sunday after our walk. I was going to crop all the dull bits off then changed my mind as I liked the contrasts.
The sign on the wall mentions William Wordsworth but sorry I didn't notice it at the time & can't quite make out what it says.
Three good things:
1. No one knows I spent almost all morning in bed!
2. Caught up with comments on 365 a bit.
3. Another quiet day tomorrow but must go for a walk!!
A lazy morning and afternoon are what is needed on days like this, don't feel guilty, enjoy them.

Ooooh sounds like my day Pat! I did manage to drag my backside off the sofa to clean and clear out the bathroom...trying to muster energy to go for a swim but unless I get going soon, I'll be all snuggled in for the evening! Like the colours and light in this.
Pat , I love this and I am so glad you did not crop the image as the bright window full of every day treasures contrasts so well with the rather dingy pebble dash and worn exterior. And I love the shop name sign !
Pat you are not the only one who has had an useless day I have been also more asleep than awake today -- and why not You deserve it after the busy time you have had over Christmas !
@beryl thank you Beryl....I didn't really feel that guilty.....I have learned over the last couple of years that I can do just what I want to do but thought it might have been better for the health if I had done walk but wasn't going out in these gales! Glad you had a restful day too ....U.S. women have to pace ourselves!!
Why feel guilty? Sounds like the perfect day.
I'm glad you didn't crop this picture. I love the warm glow from the shop against the grey walls out side.
I just enlarged your photo at that point and found out exactly what @countrylassie Leslie said. He distributed stamps! This is a lovely scene with the place all lit up and does look like a jewel! .......And we stay in bed for ages too in the morning! fav
What a quaint looking shop, great photo. I would love to have a wander around there. don't feel guilty about having a lazy day I think you have earned it and there is nothing better than staying cosy and warm when the weather is so cold.
As for the plaque on the wall, that is easy, you just have to Google it. ha ha. http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WMTK5_Wordsworths_Stamp_Office_Ambleside_Cumbria
@onewing thanks Babs.....coincidently we had passed Wordsworths house & the church where he was warden just a short time before, it was on our route back to the car.
Lovely photo - what a cute looking place.
