Harry & I walked quite a way this morning, over 8000 steps on our fitbits!
This wheat field has grown quite a bit since I last posted a photo of it.
Three good things:
1. After lunch I put on my wellies & washed all the white fence at the front of the garden.
2. I’m thankful I have a good book to read while Harry is watching re run of the Grand Prix & football!
3. Perhaps I will watch Antique Road Show on the iPad with my earphones!

This is lovely. I love the light on the wheat in the foreground. Did you pick an ear of wheat and eat it while you were walking? I wouldn’t have been able to resist.
@beryl We did enjoy our walk....it’s nice seeing how the crops have grown etc. This is our nephew Grahams wheat field. He will be harvesting it in the next few days.
@quietpurplehaze@gijsje A lovely morning for a walk....We missed the early birds but the later risers hadn’t got going yet so everywhere was pretty quiet.
@happypat ha.. I think Harry and FG are tarred with the same brush.. he was having a nap one night and the phone rung and he picked up the remote and talked to that.. lol..
@julzmaioro I can just imagine!! You have to laugh! Harry has more trouble with the phone than anything if he’s been having a nod...unfortunately his chair is right by the phone so he gets to it first!
I see it is your nephews farm so you would be allowed to walk across it. I thiink we might be prosecuted if we walked over any fields here! I don't mind John watching rugby as i get to choose most of the tv programmes myself!
@maggiemae There are two public footpaths across his field maggie....there is a definite track right through as defined here. They have been very well trod over the last few weeks! Yes I admit I usually have charge of the tv but we mostly like the same programmes & I can always go in the sitting room. We tend to sit in the kitchen in the summer as we don’t watch quite as much TV & don’t need the wood burner on.
@jgpittenger Yes I enjoy it when we walk together but I do walk a lot on my own, Harry spends all his time mowing our grass in the summer...there lots of it! Luckily he loves grass mowing! Might be different when we move, that’s the whole idea! 🤣
