Had a lovely walk on Clevelys beach, it was very quiet with the holiday makers mostly gone although the town was busy as usual. It was very bracing although I am not a great lover of the sea as it frightens me a bit. I blame that on being taken to see a film about the Pilgrim Fathers when very young & I have never forgotten that sea journey they had with the boat tossing & turning!!!
I think the setting sun was very pretty!
Lovely! Interested in your feelings about the sea. I miss it very much now we live 15 miles from the coast after growing up and spending summer holidays with it close at hand. I love the sound and smell of it!
Great picture!
Beautiful Pat especially with the light reflecting in the water. I love the sea and really miss it - Cambridge being so land-locked. I'm not a big fan on swimming in it though - even less so since my sister witnessed a friend drowning in it in Spain. Re @phil_howcroft - you can straighten horizons easily in Picnik (I THINK without losing the comments if you do it from here but I can't swear to that). I think I've posted two pics this week not quite straight (including today's) - I don't know what's wrong as I'm usually a bit obsessive and I think I must straighten nearly every photo I take - I blame it on the dog even when he isn't with me!!
@phil_howcroft@judithg Thank you Phil & do you know I never even thought to look if the horizon was straight but can see what you mean immediate you point it out !!! Will look on picnic Judith as that is where I do any of my processing !! You wouldn't catch me in the sea either in fact I only learnt to swim a couple of years ago myself ! I had to learn as all those lovely hot pools & hotel swimming pools were wasted on me. Although I love swimming in NZ I'm afraid I haven't swum at all since I last went in March ! I hope it's like riding a bike & you never forget !!!!
The coast always makes for magnificent vistas and this is a magnificent vista.
Just be careful with your horizontal skyline, there is a little slope on it :)
Great picture!
