Oh - you've got your fire going - where's Nigel - I'll ask him AGAIN for a wood-burner! I've heard that The Help is very good - I see you've gone low tech for this book...

@judithg Yes not using the kindle for this unfortunately, the book belongs to my daughter !! I must say it is nice to hold a book in my hands again but not so good tonight when I want to read late !!

I imagine a Kindle is very good for reading in the night without waking your other half up - I could do with one when we go to America - good for jetlag...

Love a fire and soo miss my wood heater. When we moved 12 years ago I had to leave it behind. Even though it only ever gets down to 8 deg. c here I still miss the fire. The dog looks like it has the best spot.

That is the perfect setting, and the fire, well I think that would put me to sleep.

I missed seeing this picture until now, seeing you looking so relaxed in your lovely room , and of course the pets always get the best spot in front of the fire

That looks cosy and relaxing Pat - Is your fire fuel or gas? Looks sooooo lovely.

@murnane It's a wood burning stove Marg. Very popular over here & it burns wood. The whole thing heats up like a big radiator whereas in an open fire most of the heat tends to go up the chimney !! I love it !!!
