This is the Harris Museum & Library in Preston. I spent many hours of my school days in this building mostly in the library or looking at exhibits on the various floors.
The Harris Museum is a Victorian Grade 1 listed building built in 1873 & is one of several imposing buildings in this part of Preston. I took photos of the outside but United Utilities has the Square up so that will be a later photo when it's looking smarter.
A new addition is the cafe you can see on the ground floor & I had a coffee & toasted teacake here for lunch.
The Harris Museum &Art Gallery won a £1.1million lottery grant in January this year to improve visitor facilities ahead of next years Preston Guild.
Wow! I never had a gorgeous library like this in grade school, high school, or college. This is stunning!! Love the pov and the displays. Great historical piece of architecture!!
