It looks painful !!!!
Just realised I haven't put the time on my camera right & I wasn't eating my lunch at this time.

@karenann It amazes me how those hens pop these eggs out...like having a baby everyday !!

That looks delicious. I have heard that double-yolk eggs usually happen when the hen is very young and just starting to lay eggs. Do you know if that's correct?

@meisen325 Could be true Monica because this has come from a hen that isn't very old but actually when they first lay their eggs as a pullet the eggs are usually quite small.

@happypat Yes indeed and I had delicious ones provided by my good friend Lorna!

If I weren't so chicken of chickens, it would be nice to have fresh eggs!

Neat shot and double yokes are so very rare

We used to always count that a nice surprise when we'd find a double yoke in the morning breakfast frying pan.,

Outstanding photo. Delicious looking lunch.

Oooh and you fried it without breaking a yoke!! Our smallest hen lays the double yokers - I feel I should give her something to rub on afterwards!

@meisen325 Our hens laid more 'doublers' when young than they do now so I think that may be right.

What a perfectly cooked egg! Just had one this morning.....haven't seen any doublers sold here, guess our hens aren't that smart!
