Wired up !

Pretty boring photo here but there has been quite a lot of publicity about the Shale Gas Fracking story on the main news yesterday. On my walk on Monday I took photos of all the wires & ramps across the roads on all the lanes in this area. Along every field edge there are wires & little engines ready to detonate small explosions underground to find how much gas there is in the layers underneath the Fylde.
This exercise is costing a fortune & there will be no way that the government & relevant departments are going to say that they wont allow it to go ahead !

Unless we have another earthquake in this area that is !!!!
Very controversial.

Good catch. You do not know which side to believe.

Fascinating photo! I had no idea until I heard it on the news this week!

Controversial yes, but if they did hit gold how amazing would that be? Interesting to see the news in action!!

Nice catch. I have some property in Upstate NY which they wanted to lease for fracking. Yikes.

I was thinking about you yesterday when they were reporting this. I agree - they want the gas too much - just so long as they don't let it contaminate the lovely a lack soil a bit of shaking won't matter ;0)

It was not something I had heard of before I watched it on the news. It does sound like something that needs a lot more research before starting large scale.

We have a major fracking controversy going on here in South Africa as well. No matter how many people object, the powers that be don't seem to take any notice.

We have the same controversy here in Australia. They are even trying to take over farmland
