While Harry sprayed weed at Cathy's house William & I walked round Inglewhite & through the fields we used to farm before we moved 13 years ago.
I have lost track of the countless times we brought the cows in for milking down this hill & up the other side towards the farm buildings & milking parlour.
@jgpittenger@karenann Yes it was very nostalgic walking the same fields & although we have been back a few times this is the first time we walked through these particular fields.
Glorious day! Lovely view.
It was a day like this that we first met - summer of 1994.
And you gave us a lovely relaxing cup of tea in your garden while you took the B team off to explore the guinea fowl, dairy herd and all the other interesting things to see!
Unforgettable and always warmly remembered!
@sarah19 Ah thank you Sallie & I remember all your 4 children had pink tee shirts on & looked very trendy & so well behaved I might add !! You were a pleasure to have visit & of course it will be lovely to see Jonathan & Alan on the 8th June !! Will show a photo of the house tomorrow ...see if you remember that !
@cleanfreak A little bit Carole ..it was a great life. We milked at the new farm here for another 11 years before retiring so by then we were both getting tired ! We didn't realise how tired until we gave up & would have carried on til we dropped if our sons hadn't gone to NZ. we were upset at the time but it worked out so well in the end !
Such a wonderful view of your former dairy farm, Pat. It's so beautiful and it sounds like it was a good life. But I'm really happy that you have a new life with time for photography (and other fun things)!
