@seanoneill Oh dear Sean as soon as I looked at yours I am very dissatisfied with mine...yours is fantastic , must keep trying!!! I have NOT eaten the evidence!
@happypat Nothing wrong with your shot at all Pat, I was taught to shoot like this as an exercise in focus and dof, you line them up and using a large f/stop like somewhere around f5, or a macro at about f/13, take turns on focusing on each object to see how the dof and focus works. Glad to help.
I guess for me the question is...what do I want in focus? Then I adjust the aperture...larger aperture (smaller number) gives me a much narrower dof. I ' m not sure in this shot what you are after
Well done. I love the ease of my point and shoot, but it would be fun to be able to produce something like this. Just how big are these Tunnocks? They look mammoth!
Good for you for working to improve your photography. One of these days I'll make the time to do the same. In the meantime, pass those marshmallows! @seanoneill Good tips. Will keep in mind for when I decide to work a little harder and actually learn something.
learning never ends and the young think we are knowledgeable!! ha ha! i think you have achieved a great shot, so much to learn!! Good for you practising and hope you enjoyed eating the subject!!
