This is an old photo of our house taken in the 1930's. I love the washing hanging on the hedge & funnily enough my mother in law used to do the same thing at the other farm where we used to live.
The house looks pretty much the same now except we extended it out to the right when we moved in. Our son & his family lived in that part until they emigrated 3 years ago, we now have that bit rented out although it is still classed as one house.
I am watching the tennis through half an eye but Andy is flagging at the moment...I sometimes think if I don't watch he will do better!!!
What a great photo! I love that your house has a long history.
My husband and niece are watching tennis too, and are right into it. I have no idea what's going on!
So how long has the house been in your family, Pat? I love seeing the laundry out - my Mom always did that. I live in my family home that my folks bought in 1951 - the year that I was born.
Lovely photo. It is so nice to find out some history about where one lives. Read a book some years ago (can't remember the name) about a lady who traced back previous owners to the Victorian house they hade moved to. It was fascinating.
@cdonohoue We have only been in this house for 13 years Cathy but it is quite old. The place we used to farm before we moved here my husbands family had been living in for over 100 years.
