We have four hairdressers in our small village.
One caters for the perm & roller brigade, the second belongs to our niece & is we think..of course the best & is very popular with everyone including the men.
The third has been taken over by a young girl who has two chairs & seems very nice.
This one here has just opened & has caused a bit of a stir amongst the men as it's a gents only barbers.
And she's even got a "barber pole!" Should be interesting to see how it goes here. Out of all of them, I would go with your niece. Your haircut is always beautiful and perfect. She knows what she's doing ... your niece!!
Cool! It's amazing how many hairdressers a small place can sustain!
We have six I think + at least one who goes round to people's homes to do the needful! And it's just a small town!
this is a nice urban shot pat, would look fantastic in black and white with a bit of colour popping / selective colouring on the barbers pole :)
for the record i go to the same hairdressers as my wife......a 'nice man' cuts my hair .......a really decent bloke...Gary :) .......i go every 4 weeks .....I think i'm in too much information mode Pat !!!
@karenann Thgank you Karenn & of course we couldn't change even if we wanted which we don't. Harry has his haircut with the same girl as I do & tips her really well at Christmas!!!!!!!!
@phil_howcroft Every 4 weeks - that's profligate Phil!! Mind you not expensive as having your roots done I shouldn't think!! I often think it would be handy if hair didn't grow!
@happypat ha ha Pat, Gary trims my eyebrows occasionally...it was quite unnerving when he first did it (not that I have bushy eyebrows) , but my wife and daughters notice when he does it !!!
This made me laugh. My town has an mazing number of hair and nails places. Seems everyday a new one pops up so you'd think that I go to one of them but no: I drive 12 miles to get my hair cut and colored in the city!
@happypat@phil_howcroft Eyebrows seem to be the new thing - Nigel nearly jumped out of the chair in shock when the lady did it the first time. Adam, on the other hand, tells me that the girls in his class regularly attack his unibrow with wax strips!
I learnt hairdressing at one stage of my life an have been cuttin John's hair for 40 years! I'm doomed! He will never know the camaraderie of a barbers - but it IS a barberette!
