St Michaels Church. by happypat

St Michaels Church.

A medieval Church dating from 1549 St Michaels Anglican Church in St Michaels on Wyre is an English Heritage Grade1 listed building.

Only the side door here as I messed up with the others, in a rush & had the camera on the wrong setting....I will go back!
The cleaner had just finished & the whole church was spotless & smelt of polish.
Beautiful. I like that door. It looks a solid one. Hope you have better luck next time.

Such a venerable old structure! The construction of ancient buildings is amazing. To think church this has been standing firm for almost 500 years is so impressive. Love this look at that magnificent door and arched doorway.

I like how the eye leads you through the doorway. Churches always make good subjects.

The side door looks as if it is used to people coming through. Lovely polished wood door!

Love the wooden door. And the contrast between it and the metal gate.
