Nana.

I got talking to a man today while I was taking pictures of the swans & he had two of these Newfoundland dogs.
The J M Barrie book Peter Pan had a Newfoundland called Nana & she was the nurse to the Barrie children.

I had the wrong lens on but I quite like the close up here.

They are the sweetest dogs - my friend has two and walks them both together - and he is in his eighties. And carries a large towel. Great shot - but I wonder how many days til the coat dries out!?!
