Oh it does not disappoint, rather lovely. Thank you for this.
On a side issue I much prefer these troughs to the blue plastic ones that are in the fields around here

@claireuk thanks Claire, yes even though they are only concrete they have a solidness about them which is nice. We have another of these in the field but that has a goldfish in ...we do not know where that came from!

Lovely! Apparently fish get carried about by herons etc and thanks to Jo we know they also carry rats about!

This looks suspiciously like an automatic watering trough. Don't the save time and effort. I love it all planted out like this

@swilde these troughs were connected to the mains water supply Sue .....there is a ball & cock system under that end with the lid on top.

Wonderful idea for all these differently coloured flowers! You would have to water them or are they still connected?

No we have to water them maggiemae.......the soil is deep though so it doesn't dry out much...proper soil too not this compost that doesn't seem to hold any moisture.
