@judithg ooh well you are still very young....all the best is still to come Judith believe me....retirement is great if you have your health! Not that I consider myself retired but I can please myself!

A wonderful image to illustrate a sad but poignant moment. With all the personnel returning too from Afghanistan just now we remember those will never return home. Thanks for sharing.

We do this on Anzac day in April - this must be a different remembrance day in Britain? Lovely scene with all those poppies!

Oh wow, what an emotional sight. I have heard the Last Post being played so many times, being ex military, but it still brings a tear to the eye.

@maggiemae they have been doing this roll call every nightjar sunset for the last couple of months maggiemae as its the 100 anniversary of WW1. The actuall Rememberance day is November 11th . This is also the day the last poppy will be planted after that the poppies are going to be taken down.
