Chinatown Barber Shop Closeup by jyokota

Chinatown Barber Shop Closeup

$7 haircut in progress. Michael showed us that there were many haircut places in this part of Chinatown. I like the lineup of chairs outside indicating there must be lines of people waiting sometimes. Well, for $7, I can imagine! I can't read Chinese although I can make out the characters that are the same a in Japanese and there are several types of $7 haircuts, as well as some choices that are a bit more expensive.

Great colours in this shot - the usual red but the purple makes it full of character too. Odd pink chair in front for the ladies - perhaps!

Wonderful closeup - such an intimate look we get in this image compared to the other.

This really could be in Hong Kong, it looks just like it.

Looks so typically Asian despite being in NYC. Love that odd collection of chairs outside.

I like the red and the purple and the mismatched chairs!

Gosh, if there wasn't English on this building I'd have no idea what kind of business it was. Well, I could look in the windows and find out. Duh!!
