I was lamenting about the yeast shortage to a professional organization committee I chair as just a passing line in asking everyone how they were doing. And voila! A drive-by sourdough starter drop off. Of the five of us, there's a]committee member who lives nearby. This sourdough bread has the best crust of all the loaves so far (the first one went to the squirrel, the second was better, but this one is the best so far.) I'm sure getting one good photo opps with the cutting board from Taffy!
This looks just perfect! Will you be looking for recipes for more than just sourdough bread? ...waffles and pancakes, for instance? I have to add that your friend with the starter was probably thrilled to find someone who wanted some...it's a pyramid scheme, you understand...!
