Original image + fourth bird in upper right corner
(admittedly neither were great photos to begin with but quickly selected for this exercise)
Work around: I couldn't color/contrast balance as I was layering so I made the bird smaller and put him in the far corner as if he was farther away and to give depth to the scene.
Lessons learned: get the original photos with correct balance of color, contrast, etc. before layering. Oh, and get the horizon line straight before adding the new bird because the wing gets super close to the edge if you do it after.
Just a question, why add the fourth bird? He seems too much in the corner--but that's just my take on it as it does seem disproportionally inserted. I'm in awe of your work with PS. I am trying to tell myself I'm smart enough to start at least considering PS as an editing tool!
@darylo - haha, you caught me practicing a skill, not for aesthetic reasons :)
I recommend the MattK course because he's very easy to understand, well paced, and straightforward.
@jyokota not yet. Still in my LR5 waiting for the end of the world....I believe my daughters get ot free and I may be able to use their student license.
I thought I'd commented on this already but it must have been in messages. Seamlessly inserted! And interesting to read the various comments about how to make it more realistic.
