This is really funny. At first I thought the image on the window represented someone reading while using the bathroom. The patient squirrel just adds to the shot.
@casablanca -- How appropriate would it be that I read him The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin (which I have, of course, as I have the entire set!). My daughter's nursery design was Beatrix Potter style.
@terryliv -- I once forgot my library card at my flat in Berlin and they barred me from even entering! I tried to talk the guard into letting me in since I had been there every single day for months (I had a fellowship) and he saw me every day. But no card, no entry.
@pamknowler@robz -- I do think he's too cold. The squirrels stamp their. bare feet a lot in on the snow, and it makes me think they are cold because they don't do that when there's no snow on the ground.
@cwbill - your comment about the reader using the bathroom made me chuckle because I know this symbol so well I hadn't even considered any other interpretation. It's the icon of the American Library Association and public libraries across the country use it. My husband thought it would be funny to have one on our library door, too. https://www.flickr.com/photos/ala_members/sets/72157624096423882/
Thank you for continuing to appreciate my Oliver and Friends photos! More coming -- until we once again leave our homes!
So many fun and funny comments -- thank you all! This photo was taken from my backdoor. I didn't even have to put shoes on.
