Storytelling Quilters

A total flop of a photo, technically speaking. I didn't have my flash, it was late at night, and nothing is in focus. Yet it's a favorite I couldn't resist posting because it shows so much of "this is me" in the story of what the photo depicts. These dear friends are my original quilt buddies -- we learned to quilt together 15 years ago. As evidenced in this photo, we cut, sew, and share stories and these 15 years have taken us through many of the stories that define our lives.

My get-pushed-66 partner, Rachel, challenged me (actually, we challenged each other!) to get involved in the theme-thisisme of the week.
Junko, the depth of emotions and feeling that you have captured in this shot are truly special. Thanks for sharing this part of your life story.

I really like the focus of this photo - it does tell stories and makes me wishing I was in on the conversations and fun.

The movement, the action, the busy-ness of the task, the clutter that is organized but chaotic, all make for a special image.
