I love my new Osprey Aura backpack. Today I carried 16 pounds in the pack and I will be increasing the weight as my training moves forward. I've booked a guided backpacking trip - 4 days & 3 nights in the Grand Canyon. It is a 5K descent/ascent and it will be the most challenging hike I've ever undertaken. I'm super excited about the trip.
Beautiful rock formations. What made the hike difficult for me is that it is “backwards”. I’m used to starting out going up and coming back more easily down. Grand Canyon isn’t so bad going down, but the trip back up is brutal. Looks like you are training wisely for it though.
