West Texas sand storms

My niece sent this photo yesterday, Lubbock is in a drought and the high winds are blowing so hard the dry land has nothing to hold it down.

We sometimes get Sahara sand, and it makes a red mess on the car.

As Carol @carolmw said, we sometimes get Sahara sand. Used to get it Cyprus sometimes too, cars used to be covered in it.

Looks quite eerie. We used to get sandstorms here when we were in drought too.
