@tibles - Hi Riikka. I happened to noticed your comment to Diana that you havenever managed to capture a decent moon shot. I see you have a Canon camera. Try these settings.
Set your camera to (M) manual
Then change your ISO to 200
Shutter speed 1/250 sec
Aperture f/11
This is fast enough for you to hand hold your camera. If you have any filters on your lens take them off while shooting the moon.
If you pictures are too dark change the shutter speed to 1/180 or 1/125 sec.
If they are too bright change the shutter to 1/350 or 1/500.
@skipt07 wow...thank you! I have only just started to use manual settings...so I can actually try this... I do use my camera in manual now but really only change ISO and aperture... I have a really good tripod I can use too....time to challenge myself I think!
I took photos of the full moon last night too...always interesting to know other people on the other side of the world are also paying attention to the full moon.
