One of my first night shots. I wanted to get our lovely Oamaru stone sculpture welcoming people to the town as well as one of the big road trains. As I was kneeling in the grass verge with my tripod, I heard a bit of scuffling and giggles behind me. Eventually one girl called out, "Excuse me, are you alright"? They probably thought an old biddy had drunkenly fallen to her knees. I rose up quickly and told her I was taking photos. The first of many unusual happenings to me, as when people want to get the right photo. Storys already told
Great night capture, Maggiemae. Yes . . people must think that I'm some kind of nut too when I get out there and get into funny positions. But you gotta do what you gotta do to get the photo!
LOL!!! Great story, Maggie! And awesome shot! I haven't perfected night shots yet. I find them terribly intimidating but I know that if I study and keep practicing I shall prevail! :)
@fungirlslim No need to apologize, Jen. I was painting a picture that these people might have imagined. I did have a scotch ( another picture) but my attitude was for the photo, not out of control, I assure you! Doesn't really matter anyhow!
@maggiemae It's a great shot., and I knew you hadnt had too much as the shot was to clear.. I was just joking around having just read your text.. Really really didn't mean any offence..
